Q. Does the £29.99 subscription also include Right Signature (digital Signature) for no extra charge?
A. Yes it does! Right Signature is exemplary, simple to use and is owned by The Engine Rooms parent company Citrix. Therefore it’s the only e signing system that can be integrated. E-signatures are 100% legally-binding and there is unlimited document sending. You can include your company’s logo, colours, and a photo on every document you send. Your clients will never know it’s not part of your website. (For 3 team members this would normally cost around £50pcm, but its included in the £29.99)
Q. If I am already signed up to Right Signature, can I keep the same account with no loss of information?
A. You ‘can’ still use your existing account, but it won’t be the full integration you get via our specific Apps.
Q. We already use Citrix’s Podio system, so can we simply switch over The Engine Room, and will we need to install a new Workspace, or just add more Apps to our existing Workspaces?
A. You will still be able to use your own Workspaces, and we’ll set you up with the new definitive MLCS Workspace where you can access all of our Apps, digital signature software and other automation. We do all the back-end stuff for you so that you can smoothly transition everything over. You can of course further adapt the system to suit your specific needs.
Q. Can it send SMS and WhatsApp messages per property and/or to everyone at no extra cost?
A. Yes, your Workflow can send Text Messages to mobile phones which can also include Engine Room data. Replies to these texts can trigger additional Workflows to respond to those replies. Sadly not WhatsApp, as this is a totally independent system.
Q. Will The Engine Room integrate with my website?
A. You can Embed any The Engine Room Item directly on your website to make everything completely interactive. By simply pasting a small script tag into your website source, you can expose parts of any app, and effectively use The Engine Room as a simple Website Content Management System (CMS).
Q. Can tenants book a viewings through your website and link to The Engine Room?
A. You ‘can’ set up a Workflow to do this if you like, however we like to keep control of when viewings are booked and to have that initial conversation.
Q. Do I also need Arthur maintenance software?
A. No, The Engine Room will do all Arthur does and more … for less £££’s 🙂
Q. Will The Engine Room integrate with Xero (or Quickbooks) accountancy software?
A. Yes you can integrate them, but it’s not cheap. The Engine Room can manage every aspect of your property business and Xero every aspect of the finances, including producing repetitive invoices, statements, automated emails when the tenants don’t pay, your tenants can log in and see all the invoices and produce their own statements. so they can work well independently, or you can pay for the integration.
Q. Can The Engine Room automate reminders?
A. Reminders and workflows can be triggered when time-sensitive items reach or exceed their target dates. You can also get notifications when any record in The Engine Room is updated.
Q. Can you automate notices and processes?
A. You can send customised email notifications to customers when records are updated according to your business rules. You can also generate PDF’s.
Q. Can Engine Room emails include links (intelligent buttons)?
A. You can easily insert intelligent buttons and links into emails that, when clicked, will execute a flow and show the contact a message. These message pages can be daisy-chained to allow external contacts to make multiple selections, each one triggering its own set of actions.
Q. Can I include a scanned version of my Gas Cert in the e-Documents the tenant signs.
A. You ‘can’ set this up, but it will mean updating the system for every house, every 12 months. We have created an EVERGREEN system, that will never need updating. Its a legal requirement to display the Gas Cert on a notice board in the property, and we ask all tenants to sign a document to confirm they have had sight of it.
Q. Can I use The Engine Room to run my other businesses?
A. Yes you can. You can create Organisations and Workspaces for each of your independent businesses.
